BODY BIKE at Wheel of Energy365- 365 days in the fight against cancer
The potential of indoor cycling is now seriously doing justice to itself. The collective will and the power of the indoor cycling group mixed with the rhythm of music are coming together and creating a motivating environment supporting ‘Wheel of Energy365’ in the fight against cancer.
On 10.10.10 at 10.10 o’clock, the opening of ‘Wheel of Energy365’ is taking place at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol – BODY BIKE will be there with 25 high quality indoor cycles ready to pick up the challenge and support the fight against cancer.
‘Wheel of Energy365’ is a gigantic running wheel where several people can run simultaneously. The initiator is Richard Bottram and he will keep the wheel in motion 4 hours a day for 365 days in a row - equalling running a marathon each and every single day for a whole year. When Bottram is not running he encourages other people to run in the giant wheel and give their energy to heighten the life quality of people with cancer. The human energy will be converted into electric energy and used to raise funds for the fight against cancer.
‘Sport breaks down all barriers and together we can make a difference’ Richard Bottram
BODY BIKE wishes to thank Richard Bottram and the team behind Wheel of Energy for the opportunity to be part of this tremendously inspiring project. ‘I hope that people will feel inspired by this single man’s great effort to draw attention and support the fight against cancer.

Richard Bottram has also been initiator on the project “Marathon 365: Run Against Cancer” in 2006-2007. During one year he ran a marathon distance (42,2km) every day in 14 European countries. Bottram makes it clear that neither this project in 2010 nor the project in 2006-2007 has been a race or a record attempt – this is purely to put focus on cancer and support the fight against it. The target running speed is 10 km/h / 6,2 mph.
